DEATHKEY is alive ! [06 Nov 2006|01:57pm]

The news leaked a bit earlier - those damn blogs :) - than I had thought but I can confirm that www.deathkey.com has been launched. The site is a social bookmarking site for the gothic / endzeit community where you can post links to news stories and also vote on these stories ! YOU will decide what story becomes a hit or a miss !

Visit www.deathkey.com for more info and to register (for free of course!) The best voters will get free cds, merchandise etc.

For the past week we have had over 100 beta-testers checking out the interface for www.deathkey.com on the secured serverspace. Now that we have gone live (and hit 1000 unique visitors yesterday) we need an extra amount of beta-testers to see how the servers will react on the amount of visits and usage of the site.

Interested to become a beta-tester ? Go straight to www.deathkey.com , sign up and start posting / voting / commenting. If you want to stay informed as well as to what we do, you can also subscribe to our newsletter.

Thanks !

[ mood | weird ]

Well I suppose as everyone else has done
something like this previously
I should introduce myself..

I'm Dogma -
I'm a chef by day
and club promoter by night.

The club I'm promoting is specifically
for fans of Industrial,EBM,Noise and the like.
Everyone involved in this venture
is a fan of those genres so we have a good idea
what we and other people want.

We are also looking at playing something different,
not the music, but giving unsigned or newer bands
a bit more dancefloor time.
If anyone here has a demo they would like played in our club
please get in touch with me here:

or join our community here:

Anyway,thats enough of that,
See you all at Covenant in Sheffield next week
and InFest in Summer!

Dogma x

HI! [14 Apr 2006|02:33pm]

[ mood | cheerful ]

Hi everyone!
I've just joined up and haven't had time to sort my lj out yet - no icons, comments or friends!
Anyhow, I'm probably older than your average rivethead, and I've been into electronic music since Kraftwerk and Gary Numan changed the face of it, waaay back in the day. Remember the lean times in the late 80's too, when EBM was practically unheard of until Nitzer Ebb and Front 242. *sheesh* times have certainly changed for the better!
Nowadays I like all manner of industrial / EBM / darkwave and anything else in between.

Gigs wise, I'm off to see Fear Factory this Saturday, then Covenant, Apop, Nitzer Ebb in London ( can't wait to see these guys again - saw them on the Big Hit tour - one of my best ever gigs! ) and of course, the mighty FLA at Infest. YOWZA! Missed them the last time they played these shores, and never thought I'd get chance again! Wanted to go to Elektrofest at the end of the month to see [:SITD:] again - they kicked ass on the VNV tour. Shame I can't make it though :(

Think that's about it really - be great to meet up with peeps at Infest though.
...and why isn't this community promoted more? This is the sort of thing we need! :)

a new song [04 Apr 2006|09:56pm]

i have uploaded a new song: "the universe seen trough the window of Yuri Gagarin's spaceship"

you comment is welcome

[02 Apr 2006|10:01pm]

I just joined, and thought I ought to say hello.

I'm Emily, I'm 27, and it's probably very sad that it took me two minutes to remember whether I was 26 or 27!

Most of my time is spent on my little daughter, who is a year old and whose favourite band appears to be Combichrist. You'd think she was having some kind of fit when Intruder Alert is on. She also likes Slayer though, so she's clearly not prepared to tie herself to any one genre.

When I'm not otherwise engaged abusing my speakers and torturing men on the internet, I like to watch films, mostly ones in other languages and mostly of the brain-frying kind. I have an extremely deadpan and tasteless sense of humour which earns me a great many odd looks/lectures, and my dirty secrets are that I love to bake and cross stitch. Don't go telling people that last part, I have a reputation to protect.

I have no publicly visible vices, unless you count irritating all holy hell out of my best friend and housemate, which is obviously what she is there for. She pulls the most fantastic faces when she's trying to stop herself throttling me that I just can't help it. All my other vices take place in private (generally) although sometimes I pass the photos around afterwards.

This community may be a little on the quiet side, but I'm attracted to it because firstly you look quite friendly (and it's often harder to go into a large community anyway), and secondly it's nice to see a musically community that isn't a non-stop parade of flyers!

Also, as you may already have noticed, I can blather a lot of crap once I get started. I'll shut up now.

[27 Sep 2005|05:47pm]

Hello! My name is Marie-Noëlle Martinez from Montreal, in Quebec, Canada. I'm representing Dj Nachtengel, a popular Dj from Montreal gothic circuit
from the past 7 years. I want to let you know of a project that Dj Nachtengel has started a few days ago and that i think could be of interests for you.

On www.shoutcast.com, under the name Nachtengel Ascend, he started a new
online radio show that is covering many musical styles like EBM, Industrial, Noise,
Metal, New Wave, Gothic, Alternatif, Punk and Electro.

This radio is mostly playing by night, for now. The schedule aren't completly set
up, but soon a website is going to be created, with the programmation slots available for your listening pleasure. If you want to catch a glimpse of it tune in toward 10pm (eastern Time) each day.

So what could be interesting in there for you?

Of course, that would be the music first. But our goal is also to expand our
horizon farther than Montreal and to collaborate with new bands, djs and
promoters troughout Canada and USA.

If you are a musician, a dj, or a promoter, we would like you to write to us and send us
your feedbacks about Nachtengel Ascend. We want to encourage our listeners to discover new talents throughout our streams and make them buy your artists records, go to your evenings or hear something else than the usual mainstream radio crap...

That way, you'll have the possibility to be even more expose and have your song listen to by more people.

The same is for the promoter, let us know of your events in club, the shows in
your area, of every counter culture style, in order to help you promote even more the underground scene of your city. We would gladly like to have interviews from you, your city and clubs to attract more clientele for you.

Of course, as soon as the website will also be up, you could have your URL
in our Link Page.

If you listen to the show and hear an artist unknown to you and would like
more information on him, just email us at NachtengelAscend@gmail.com and we'll give you all the details you need to join them.

In hoping to hear from you in the future...

Marie-Noelle Martinez...

Maybe it seems utopic, but we really wish to start a radio that would
reunited as many scene of different cities as possible.

Another word for dj's and promoter; next summer, we'd really like to make a
roadtrip around the States and Canada in differents industrial-noise-ebm
clubs. If you like over the year what we do and are interested, we would
like to be booked as guest dj's in your place in exchange of a place to
crash. Nachtengel and I are both experienced dj's and we'd like to have this
chance of joining a travel with our number one passion; music.

Anyway, I know it is soon to talk of this now but we are open to
suggestions, comments, and really wish to get to know the part that you do
in your community.

So from now on, you can write to us at ....nachtengelascend@gmail.com

Thanks for everything, we are waiting to hear your comeback on the shows and
receive news from you!

[ mood | disappointed ]

Does anyone know of a way to get from Cardiff to London leaving between the hours of say 3am-6am? I live in the US and already made vacation arragements to leave London on the 4th in the morning (around 10:30am). However, i found out about the show afterwards (which is on the 3rd) and am desperately trying to find a way to get back in time to London for my flight. I've already tried to get a later flight and everything is sold out and my only other option is pay another $900/£500 for another flight back home. I've tried the Megabus site, but that doesn't leave until 7:30am and i will not arrive in London in time for my flight. Or are there any other communities or boards i could turn to that might be able to help me out?

Thank you for any and all help!!
